Sighness...watching, reading, listening to the news these few days... All "apathetic" character has been lost on me... Especially just an hour ago.. Horrors upon horrors..terrifying escalating death tolls... All at once was i thrown into the immediate impulse to rush over to help...and realising how little i could do, sink back down to pray.. Sorrow at the lost.. and...fear. No, not just at the extent of the disaster. But a fear that goes beyond this veil of reality... Is it wrath? Or a sickening attempt by the greatest and perhaps sole enemy i've ever had and will have... to break us down in our new found fervour?
*gRINz* a merry belated christmas to one and all! haha lazy shoes me...still have yet to send out the christmas cards and stuff...so i guess you'll all get them by new year...i hope!!! Love christmas! :) well, not because of the presents one receives...but so much more that it represents...I remember walking down the streets of orchard one afternoon with my mom...gazing at the decorations and festivity, when my heart was filled with an unspeakable joy, bursting forth with an emotion i'd only feel in this season..or should it have been all year round? And the emotion? Passion..and the knowledge of the limitless potential for love to be given and received.. Because this season first started with His love for us. I don't know if you guys ever think of the reason why we receive gifts, the reason why we celebrate this season with such oomph (come on man! it's the most celebrated season in our country apart from national day :) ) and feasts line our tables, as well as our bellies...or why we go to church on this day instead of partying as so many others might have been doing...doing it just like the senseless way i celebrate chinese new year.. Well, the message hit home every year, every day, every single second.. Do you know the reason? The reason behind what we do on this blessed day? The reason why i've felt this way? “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 And that's not all... "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed." John3:17-20 Yea, we have every reason to celebrate! For He is the Light, and the reason we all can look forward with optimism! :) I know i do, and i know i love Him, the Light! For He came only because He loved us...and He loves us! Yesh! Are you ready to take the journey with "the Light"? Even as we fall steadily into a society that hails darkness, violence, addiction...worshipping "gods" that do not make sense...satisfying the self only temporary, when He has promised an eternity of peace, hope, joy? I made the decision. And i never regretted it! Let each day hold wonders for you as He leads you into His presence, because He has already shown me so much and i'm still thirsty for more! And I hope you'll make the decision I've made..because it is the only valuable gift you can ever receive in Christmas, a gift of unspeakable love from Him. You may mock me and say, "What do you care?" But i tell you today my friend, even though you may feel i don't know you.. Yet the reason you've read this post means He wants you to read what He has been trying to whisper in your ear all this time. Coincidence doesn't exist. And yes, I care. Because you ARE His beloved creation, His child.. And of course, because He first loved us! Also...I'd like to share heaven and Him with you, my friend. For so wonderful a thing isn't meant for keeping:)
Heya guys..just thought we'd do this together as a group for now..:) Will be starting synchronised prayer nightly from 10:30 pm onwards so that we can start praying together as a group for YM and His kingdom.. Do take this time to bask in the awesome power of the Lord and to meet Him in His Holy place, with a passion because He first had it for us, His children! If u feel that you want us to pray for u in any other way, feel free to tag on the board on the right hand side or sms me yesh? Also, i'd like to invite others who might want to pray as well to just join in...u don't have to be from our goup :) This list is long and inexhaustive, but pray in your own time...it's not quantity and a mere rambling that matters, but quality, for the Lord knows your thoughts before you speak.. Praise the Lord, for His love endures forever! Let us keep fighting the good fight! Prayer List, Dec 12 1) to thank God for His continual grace, love and blessings upon us although we have been disobedient 2) for total surrender into His hands,to do as He wills, not ours 3) for the youth ministry (youths) 4) Holy Spirit to fill us as we spread the word... to be sensitive to Him and respond to His whispers 6) and of course, for our group...wisdom and love(very impt!) amongst all of us, especially for the leaders 7)for those who need Him but haven't heard or experienced Him personally 8)for our missionaries, especially theon - to thank God for His blessing on Lukas with a scholarship and seeing him through the year -and for blanche, who's going to try to make peace and reach out to her hostile hindu neighbours, that His hand will be with her and their hearts will not be hardened i'd like u to also make a personal commitment to Him..it can be small or big...or even just telling Him you'll depend on Him or read His Word..
